The government of Germany has pledged to support Uganda to increase access to energy. This was revealed at the official launch of solar training equipment for experimental learning of the solar energy in the region. Up to 95 % of population use traditional solid fuels for heating, lighting and cooking, which has encouraged massive environmental harm thus must be reduced through using alternative means like solar energy and bio gas respectively at relatively low expenses.
