Following scientific evaluation on AfT’s information resources by Busara Behavioural Insights that show significant effectiveness of SMS prompt as part of broader information dissemination to farmers, our subsequent information dissemination interventions will put SMS prompts at the center. We anticipate sms prompts to follow aftere.g information about agricultural financing. In the past, we have for example worked in specific districts to make financial information public so that farmers know what is provided and can therefore, follow up. This is one of such actions that shall benefit from an sms prompt. For example, we shall in regular practice send out creative sms to remind farmers about budgetary allocations or any other topic related to the information disseminated prior. Other AfT intervention areas will benefit from this approach. To the extent possible, we will also engage the social media platforms despite their relatively low appeal to rural farming population.
